Golden Jubilee Celebrations by Loyola School (June – November 2011)
Dear Senior Loyolites,
As you all know, Loyola is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The celebration is being heralded by a host of events being conducted by the school from June to November, 2011. A host of programs are being conducted by the school during this period. The events, which start with the release of a special ‘Golden Jubilee Logo, will conclude on the 26th of November with a closing ceremony.
Inviting you all to school to witness this exciting coterie of events.

I sincerely hope that this is a prank of the highest magnitude.
Real Loyola standard!
The gala nite proposed certainly seems a tad out of place for the occasion. I am the last person to comment on the decision taken by the management, they may have compulsions that we are not aware of. If fund raising was the principal( pardon the unintentional pun) aim, a far simpler way would be to reach out the alumni. In today’s world, that is an easy task given the LOBA and the various batch group aliases. They would be certainly eager to give, and with far less hassle for the school.
If indeed the school wanted to hold an event for the occasion of the fundraising, a ” back to the school” programme would suffice.

Never in the history of Loyola??
I hope the concerned parties make changes to all this.
Please tell me this is a joke.
The brochure says it right: NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF LOYOLA….. Yes, I hope this is a prank. The brochure stinks to high heaven.
Whoever came up with the idea would have had some intentions in mind. But yes surely wouldn’t have wanted to jeopardize the Loyola name. Is such a highly dramatized and gaudy event for an occasion like this necessary.
Do we really need a celebration of this magnitude..
And is this for your real….
